Strangely, the addict experiences much the same problems while on money or while suffering from withdrawal symptoms. <p> These symptoms include continued fear of want, inability to experience aesthetic or religious feelings, and lack of ability to use consciousness to create freedom and enjoy life. <p> We, the non-addicts, feel that confiscation of the addictive materials would do nothing to reduce the number of addictions or alleviate the symptoms. <p> We believe that the only way to counteract the addiction is to ourselves be unaffected by the above mentioned addiction symptoms, and further to show these addicts alternatives to their symptoms.
